Today, more than ever, it is important to preserve plant biodiversity, to defend from extinction the plants that have inhabited our planet over the centuries and are now being replaced by new cultivars in the name of profit and gain.

Many companies prefer to eliminate centuries-old native plants in favour of intensive plantings: the varieties chosen are the most productive, the most advantageous in terms of quantity and sometimes not even cultivated in Italy.

Companies that pursue this choice will disfigure the land by placing similar olive oils on the market and will be responsible for the extinction of ancient plant varieties.
It is our duty to use the plants of our territory by planting new ones with these cultivars in order to pass on ancient flavours and maintain the genetic diversity that nature has given us.
